The resident open hill stag population is boosted by a good influx of woodland stags during the rut.

Strone House is set in beautiful grounds and offers all-in packages for the enthusiastic stalking guest. It is ideal for smaller groups or 2 – 6 guests who will be looked after very well by Mrs Turnbull. Her cooking is first class – tried and tested personally!

I would strongly recommend that for these smaller groups – Strone Estate is a great bet. Hunters/stalkers can stay at Strone Lodge, with the owners, and are looked after on a fully catered basis to include dinner, packed lunch and breakfast. Stalking is charged at £450 per stag Inc VAT. Dinner Lunch and Breakfast plus accommodation is £150 per night This also includes wines and spirits.
